The U.S. After WWI
1. Americans were tired after WWI and tired of change and tired of unemployment.
2. Americans became feared of outsiders and hated those who weren't born in the U.S. and feared of communism.
3. He went down and hunted political radicals and was afraid of communist.
4. KKK were afraid of foreign-born people. Yes in 1924, 4.5 million KKK members joined.
5. To limit immigration from southern and eastern Europe.
6. The Quota System was discriminate to Catholics and Jews.
7. 500,000 mexicans crossed the border.
8. Japanese felt insulted because Japan agreed to the Gentlement's Agreement to limit imigrants.

Treatment of Colored People
1. How did Mexicans earn a living in the late 1800's, and where did they do this work?
Mexicans started working in the railroads to construct rail lines in the southwest.
2. Describe African-American life in the 1900's (where did they move to, what was their experience, etc)?
African-Americans move from the South to the North but, in the North African-American were also discriminated in work because blacks were fired first than the white.

In the 19th century the reason why americans begin to recreate was to get away from city congestion and to enjoy amusement parks, bicycling, and spectator sports.

Teddy Roosevelt's Presidency
1. Describe T.R.'s life before he became president.
*Teddy Roosevelt was born in New York in October 27, 1858 and an interesting thing about his life is that he became a famous leader against Cuba in the Cuban War and it was written an a book called Rough-Riders.
2. How did he become president?
*After the assassination of President McKinley on September 14, 1901 and in 1904 Roosevelt was elected to be president of the United States.
3.What was T.R.'s "Bully Pulpit?"
*Was a way to speak out and to be listened by the people throught out the media.
4. Summarize T.R.'s opinion on civil rights.
* Teddy Roosevelt believed that blacks should have rights but, that they must be separated from the white.
5. Explain if you would like T.R. if he were president today.
* No, because I want a president that would given blacks rights and should not be separate from the white and should be living together with the whites.
